The story is really fun to read but the return to the past has always annoyed me as a reader. On the other hand I guess it is a must so that pieces of the puzzle connect to each other. Then again, reading a poem or going through the father son relationship is a tiring way of putting the story together.

Also, the fact that someone can play a person with a major disease is hardly believable and certainly not for such a long time. The author is really good at going through all the ramifications of the political power in the USA. Also very interesting is the description of the Smithsonian organization and the buildings that house such an outstanding place. In resume a very thorough thriller with a bunch of historical facts that ties the whole story together. Confusing in some places but all in all a recommended read for all people that love US history and a good thriller ride to top it off. A very good contender to Dan Brown in a subtle different way. Each one of these books start out really good.

However, half way through I'm feeling a good ending coming but it doesn't and I feel hard pressed to finish. Honestly, I think all of his books should be about to pages shorter. They drag on with no end in sight. I hate the idea of not finishing a book once started so I have managed to finish all of the ones I've bought. But, the enjoyment is long gone by the time I get to the final chapter. Also, there are tons of beautiful Spanish names for women. Cassiopeia is not one of them. It feels like a speed bump every time I come across it.

One person found this helpful. You cannot go wrong with Steve Barry books! If you love Dan Brown you’ll love this! These books at the end always tell you what was fact and what was not if you like mystery thrillers These will not disappoint. This came very fast and it was nicely packaged. I would highly recommend it. Always at some very interesting place. We have dwelled in the Smithsonian. Steve Berry makes us want to go back their. The connection to the knights, Regardless of which ones makes the story all the more interesting. Loved the book and the story. History has always fascinated me and I do so enjoy Steve Berry's books for that reason. He incorporates fact with fiction and weaves a story that keeps you interested from the first page.

I can never put his books down and wait eagerly for the next one. As always a very reliable and good read by Steve Berry.
